Meet JF

I started taking photos as a teen, when my dad gave me my first “big boy”camera, a Zenit 122. From that point on, I started shooting what I liked to see.
I started getting more serious about photography because of the internet, finally showing my works outside of close family and friends.

Thanks to being raised in the media, I always lean towards editorial photography. There is something almost magical about working in the field, with real people, and always needing techniques from every other niche of photography.

I have now been published internationally, and have worked regularly with Erasmus Interchange Students for the last 3 years.

And I didn’t look back a single time.

My name is João Falcão Machado, and I am a portuguese photographer.
